A modern monastery for poets and prophets, mystics, and creatives.
The Vision
God has been speaking to us about establishing a modern monastery that will establish continual prayer, worship, and warfare for centuries to come. Built with the mindset of the architects of the cathedrals of Europe, we will build to last a thousand years.
Aontacht will create a thin space where heaven meets earth, where God’s will is done, and where heavenly encounters come as easy as our very breath.
It will provide a place for people to come to, a space to enjoy the peace of heaven for a self-guided or guided retreat.
Beauty will be the theme of the buildings, the chapel, and the grounds. Based around spaces that allow the worship of the Creator of creation, guests, and residents will bask in the elements of Southern California.
By creating an atmosphere where we minister to the Lord, we will own the airwaves over San Diego.
The Place and Space
For over a year, we have been trying to visit a property that seemed ideal for our monastery's location. This week, we managed to see it and walk the land. The property is a winery producing an estimated $750,000 worth of grapes per year.
The owner is selling it, and after walking the land, we can see that it would be ideal for what we want.
It is currently listed for $6,250,000, including a home and other buildings that could be used straight away.
We believe God is saying yes to this place, and we want to go for it.

The Plan
Like the Celtic missionaries who lifted the rudder on their boats and hoisted their sails, trusting the Holy Spirit to show them the way, we are going to do just that.
To be clear, I have zero doubt that this is the place of our expansion, the place God has given us to build.
When I walked the land, I could actually see people using the place. I could see a worship community being built, a community of the heart who were devoted to ministering to the Lord. God gave me a glimpse of the future.
I could see people from all walks of life entering a thin space and finding peace from storms and answers to their Divine Longings.
So, starting today, we are raising our sail, pulling our rudder, and trusting God to lead.
We are not collecting money.
We are raising pledges made prayerfully and with great joy.
To secure funding for the Monastery, we need to raise 25%.
There are investors who will invest, if we raise 25%.
No money will be collected at this time and will not be collected until we meet our target. Once we reach the target, all pledges will be due.
We have set a deadline of June 13, exactly 23 years to the day we arrived in the USA.
We are asking you to be a part of history, a part of something that will change SoCal.
(All donations are tax deductable in the USA)
The Good Shepherd
David’s poetic praise to God
Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd.
I always have more than enough.
He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love.
His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss.
That’s where he restores and revives my life.
He opens before me the right path
and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness
so that I can bring honor to his name.
Even when your path takes me through
the valley of deepest darkness,
fear will never conquer me, for you already have!
Your authority is my strength and my peace.
The comfort of your love takes away my fear.
I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.
You become my delicious feast
even when my enemies dare to fight.
You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit;
you give me all I can drink of you until my cup overflows.
So why would I fear the future?
Only goodness and tender love pursue me all the days of my life.
Then afterward, when my life is through,
I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you!
