Shifting Plates

In February 2018, I arrived in San Diego for a few days.

While descending on the plane I had an open vision.

I saw the region as two tectonic plates that were grinding against each other. I knew that one was a previous foundation of what God has done and the other was a new foundation of what God was doing. There was some shaking and friction before the old foundation gave way, it actually submitted to and came 'under' the new foundation.

Later, I had another open vision where I was exploring the old foundation. It had several large holes and as I began exploring one of these holes, climbing down to see how far it went, I heard God tell me to ignore the holes in the old foundation, that the new foundation would not be affected by them and that as the Glory filled the earth like waters, the holes would be filled with Him.

God is doing a new thing in San Diego. The old thing was and continues to be been groundbreaking. I don’t think I have ever experienced a region that has battled together (and won!), interceded together, and plowed a lot of fertile ground together as much as San Diego. It is a prototype for how the church can get Kingdom work accomplished. However, God is a God of new things and He has begun to set some new things in place.

The common secret for all missionaries that I know is that we don’t fall in love with the landscape, climate, food, or anything else temporal, we fall in love with people. Since we started hanging out in San Diego, we have fallen in love with San Diegans. Up until now, Rachel and I have been simply visiting the region but all of that is about to change.

Based on so many prophetic words, and a whole bunch of other good things, we have decided that we are moving to San Diego, from the Atlantic Plate to the Pacific Plate, September 1, 2020.

We are looking at house rentals, we are packing, and we have booked the U-Haul. We have no idea how it will all come together but we stand convinced that this is God and all we are doing is responding by faith, not sight

First and foremost, we value your prayers way above anything else. We are convinced that prayer In all things is THE most important thing. Please stand with us believing for everything to be worked out as we make this journey.

If you feel led to help financially, please donate. It would mean so much to us.

Thank you and stay tuned.
