Words Construct Our Future
In the beginning, God created.
He didn’t do it through a thought, a movement, a flash of light; He did it through speaking. God SAID, “Let there be light”. If we want to create something, we need to speak it.
I was involved in deliverance ministry a while back, you know the old-school style. In all my life I have never seen a demon leave a person because I thought they should. But I have seen them leave because I spoke - because I commanded. Time and time again throughout the miracles, signs, and wonders of the New Testament, Jesus and His disciples speak and command things to happen. And they do. Jesus did not ‘think’ to the storm, He spoke.
The spoken word is powerful especially in those moments when faith arises in us and accompanies the spoken word. If our thinking draws us into our future, then our words create a future already made possible by Jesus.
Words have power. James talks about the power of the tongue that it can steer a ship no matter what the wind says. Our direction is determined by our words, not the storms.
Solomon tells us in Proverbs 18:20-21
With the fruit of a man’s mouth his stomach will be satisfied;
He will be satisfied with the product of his lips.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
In Deuteronomy God gives us a choice between blessing and cursing. We can bless what He has said over us and each other, or we can curse it. I don’t know about you but if this has been handed to us, if this decision to choose what to speak about is ours is for the choosing, I am choosing life and blessing. Definitely not curses.
There is power in the declaration!
Here are some for you to try:
Debt is disappearing. It is being forgiven, paid off and I will be debt free.
Lack is leaving. When Jesus is my shepherd, I will not lack.
Poverty is fleeing. God wants me to be blessed so I can change nations.
Faith is increasing. With every penny I receive, I give thanks and see God’s hand in the increase.
Money is multiplying, wealth is accumulating, generosity is growing.
Since I seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all the things I need in life are added to me. God has already supplied all my needs according to His riches in Glory. I declare that Jehovah Jireh is my source, He has seen and already provided. I am generous and I do not hold back giving offerings, I have submitted to the Word of God. I am under His authority and have the authority of Christ. I now speak to everything under my authority. Satan go! Angels come!. SICKNESS GO!! HEALING COME!! LACK GO!! FINANCES COME!! PLENTY COME!! RUNNING OVER COME!! FEAR GO!! SOUND MIND COME!! DEPRESSION GO!! PEACE COME!! BETTER JOBS COME!! RAISES COME!! PROMOTION COME!! INCREASE COME!! Because God is for me, nothing can be against me. Lack, be removed from my life. Financial blessings come on me and overtake me. I have given so all grace is abounding toward me. I am a giver, I am a sower, therefore I am a reaper. Harvest day has arrived. Jesus became poor on the cross, so I could become rich. Today will be filled with blessings from God.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14
